Responsibilities
Participates in new electronics product designs based on customer requests or internal development
Understands customer procedures and implements or adapts development to meet those requirements
Implements new designs into production by creating designs and following the entire development process
Assists the Quality Department in analyzing of warranty and other customer returns
Works in conjunction with leadership to develop long-range and short-range goals for self and department
Prepares product or system layout and detailed schematics/drawings as required
Analyzes test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications
Liaison with suppliers for quotes, specifications and samples
Updates / Maintains current Nidec products through research and recommendation for improvement design opportunities of electronic modules and components. Verifying that all specifications are met
Supports / Implements the ISO14001 Environmental Policy as it pertains to work activities
Qualification
Required
1 year of experience
Bachelor's Degree
Experience with modeling CAD tools such as MathCAD, LTSpice or PSpice
Analog, digital and power circuit design, component selection, schematic capture, and circuit simulation
Power dissipation calculation, worst-case tolerance analysis, and design failure mode effect analysis
Electronics prototype construction and design verification testing
EMC compliance and design verification testing and review
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project)
Strong attention to detail
Strong problem solver
Innovative and accountable for actions
Ability to effectively manage time and resources
Preferred
Strong communication skills are desirable
