Postdoctoral Researcher
CHEManager International is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to assist in fulfilling the objectives of the 1890 Capacity Building Grant. The role involves training students, designing and implementing studies, presenting scientific findings, and educating the public and stakeholders.

Training of undergraduates and graduate students
Design and implement studies to achieve the goals of the project
Present the scientific findings the academia and the industry
Educate the public and stakeholders
Help the principal investigator (PI) in the daily operation and effort, in seeking funding support from both internal and extramural sources
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. degree in Microbiology or a related area is required
Experience in water microbiology is required
knowledge and skills in microbial source tracking
Knowledge and skills in molecular biology
Ability to perform research independently
Ability to develop a research proposal and grant application
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Missouri state driver license
Ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods
Occasional ability to lift, carry, and put away parcels weighing up 25 pounds
Normal physical mobility, which includes movement from place to place on the job taking distance and speed into account
Normal physical agility, which includes ability to maneuver body while in place
Normal physical strength to handle routine office materials and tools
Normal dexterity of hands and fingers
Normal coordination, including eye-hand, hand-foot
Normal endurance
Preferred
Experience in plant pathology is a plus
Experience in molecular biology/bioinformatics is preferred
