ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER
The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is committed to enriching the environment and protecting public health for New Yorkers. They are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the Wastewater Capital Program, focusing on project goals, contract modifications, and ensuring adherence to environmental health and safety standards.
Environmental Services
Responsibilities
Develop and track contract documents
Manage development of design documents
Conduct field investigations and develop solutions to issues
Review and maintain scope, schedule and cost development and management
Contract administration/procurement
Communication and coordinate with project stakeholders
Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) regulations
Qualification
Required
A baccalaureate degree in chemical engineering from an accredited college
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in chemical engineering technology and two years of full-time satisfactory experience in chemical engineering work
Only applicants who are permanent Civil Service Chemical Engineering Interns or have taken and passed Civil Service Exam 6117 are eligible to apply to this JVN
Preferred
Robust knowledge of wastewater treatment systems and equipment
Knowledge and understanding of codes, standards and design guidelines applicable to wastewater treatment facilities
Ability to read and understand engineering reports, specifications and drawings
Excellent communication and writing skills
