ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER
The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is dedicated to enriching the environment and protecting public health for all New Yorkers. They are seeking an Assistant Project Manager for the Wastewater Capital Program to support project goals, manage contract modifications, and ensure adherence to Environmental Health & Safety regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Develop and track contract documents
Manage development of design documents
Conduct field investigations and develop solutions to issues
Review and maintain scope, schedule and cost development and management
Contract administration/procurement
Communication and coordinate with project stakeholders
Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) regulations
Qualification
Required
A baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from an accredited college. A degree in any other engineering area or in civil engineering technology is not acceptable
Demonstrate critical thinking skills and effective independent data analysis
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to be flexible in assignment of work responsibilities
Ability to perform fieldwork that may involve standing and walking on uneven surfaces, steep slopes, and stairs in all weather conditions
Operation of a motor vehicle to perform site visits, equipment testing, inspections, and to attend meetings with project stakeholders
Preferred
Robust knowledge of wastewater treatment systems and equipment
Knowledge and understanding of codes, standards and design guidelines applicable to wastewater treatment facilities
Ability to read and understand engineering reports, specifications and drawings
Excellent communication and writing skills
