Northstar Aerospace is a company focused on aerospace manufacturing, and they are seeking a Quality Supervisor. The Quality Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of the quality inspection and calibrations system, ensuring that product shipments comply with customer requirements while supervising approximately 10 employees.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate resources of the department to inspect parts per customer requirements while ensuring compliance to those requirements is met. Requirements include: Purchase Orders, Blueprints, Specifications, Etc

Scheduling of personnel for various work centers such as CMM, In-process & Final Inspection, Gauge Calibration

When applicable, Coordinate customer Source Inspection and DCMA Inspection

Assess and interpret customer drawings and the associated part design features characteristics

Guide inspectors on the use of inspection tools

Complete First Article Inspection Reports as required by customers and AS9102

Collaborate with customers to ensure requirements are clearly understood and evaluated during production

Lead and oversee department resources to ensure annual goals and objectives are met

Collaborate with various departments to assure inspection resources are aligned with production priorities

Demonstrate continual improvement of inspection methods, workflows and associated processes

Ensure ongoing training and development for inspection personnel

Required

High school diploma or equivalent experience

Must have minimum 5 years aerospace manufacturing experience in a quality manager role with approximately 10 years of leadership/supervisory experience

Interrogate and interpret blueprints to determine feature requirements

Ability to manage multiple priorities

Detailed oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment

Effectively manages actions ensuring their timely coordination and completion

Ability to motivate and lead others

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Challenge the status quo with continuous iterative improvements

Manage competing demands

Proficient in (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
