Responsibilities
Compiles and analyzes complex accounting data to provide management with financial information necessary to make critical business decisions
Prepares complex financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
Works closely with the divisional accounting team to maintain corporate and divisional policies, drive continuous improvement of the financial reporting, and support growth of the business
Reconciles accounts, posts journal entries, and maintains accurate general ledger entries in accordance with accounting principles
Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
Participates in continuous improvement activities and provides suggestions for cost reduction and improved efficiency
Participates in internal and external audits
Maintains financial security by following accounting policies and internal controls
Leads and executes AP improvement projects
Maintains and improves our newly developed PowerBI suite of tools
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
2-5+ years of accounting experience including inventory/plant accounting experience
Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and Mainframe Applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Self-motivated, has a strong sense of curiosity, exhibits high-energy
Works both independently and effectively with others as a team
