Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a Guidance, Navigation and Control (GN&C) Engineer to join their Hill Technical Solutions team in Huntsville, AL. The role involves designing, developing, analyzing, and testing GN&C systems for hypersonic and missile defense applications, as well as mentoring junior engineers and developing test plans.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the design, development, analysis and testing of flight vehicle GN&C systems for hypersonic and missile defense applications

Responsible for understanding aspects of GN&C system design, development, troubleshooting, and optimization

Develop, model, and analyze navigation, guidance and control algorithms through digital and hardware-in-the-loop simulations

Design missile and flight vehicle integrated guidance, navigation, and control system

Mentor and develop junior engineers

Develop models for hypersonic and missile defense guidance systems for sensitivity analysis

Develop updates to 6DoF Simulation

Research and become familiar with GN&C systems and technologies in use by DoD organizations

Develop and implement test plans for ground testing of GN&C systems

Develop interface control documents (ICD)

Prepare and present briefings

Required

Must have a Bachelor's of Science (BS) Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or related engineering field and at least 2 years of related experience

Must have demonstrated capability in performance analysis, design, integration, and testing of GN&C Systems for use in offensive and defensive missile systems

Must have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

Must have the ability to conduct research and perform analysis on requirements, capability, and operational effects as required

Must have the ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language

Must be highly motivated and self-directed, with keen attention to detail

Must have proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities

Must have strong customer service orientation

Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
