Responsibilities
Design and implement real-time data streaming solutions for efficient processing
Develop and maintain robust data pipelines for batch and streaming workflows, including ETL processes
Create and manage large-scale data warehouses to support analytics and reporting needs
Build certified datasets by integrating diverse data sources to ensure accuracy and consistency
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver effective data solutions
Optimize workflows, monitor pipelines, and troubleshoot issues to maintain high performance
Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and regulations
Stay current with advancements in data engineering, data science, and machine learning
Write efficient, well-documented code with unit tests and clear documentation
Lead solution design, development, testing, and monitoring for production-ready data platforms
Qualification
Required
Authorization to work in the United States
2+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or database management
Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Java
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (dimensional modeling, star schema)
Experience with ETL processes and cloud-based tools
Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases and modern lakehouse technologies (Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, Apache Trino)
Experience with data streaming technologies (Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, Apache Flink, Apache Spark)
Demonstrated expertise in data pipelines, orchestration tools, and datamart creation
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Intellectual curiosity and adaptability in dynamic environments
Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Experience with DevSecOps standards, source control systems, and tools (Jenkins, GitHub)
Prior experience with data engineering tools and architectures
Industry experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or high-tech sectors
Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms
Proficiency in Jupyter for collaborative data analysis
Familiarity with open-source technologies and tools
Knowledge of geospatial data transformation and spatial libraries
