They are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to build and own core machine learning models that detect fraud and support a growing suite of financial risk products.

Responsibilities
Own fraud and risk models across the full lifecycle: data sourcing, feature engineering, labeling strategy, model development, deployment, and monitoring
Research emerging fraud patterns and develop new product capabilities around identity and risk
Build foundational modeling to support new product lines and use cases
Iterate quickly through experimentation, new data integration, and creative feature design
Write production-quality code used in real-time decisioning systems
Design and present analyses that influence product strategy, data acquisition, risk operations, sales, and marketing
Partner closely with engineering, data, and operations teams to ensure data quality and system reliability
Qualification
Required
2+ years of relevant industry experience with a PhD, or
4+ years with a Master's degree in a relevant field
Demonstrated success solving complex, high-impact business problems using data science and machine learning
Strong end-to-end ownership mindset: problem framing, metric definition, stakeholder alignment, solution delivery
Solid applied ML and statistical foundations; familiarity with modern ML methods is a plus
Experience writing production-grade code and tests
Ability to communicate progress and results to senior stakeholders
Detail-oriented, thoughtful, and comfortable making high-stakes decisions
Preferred
Prior experience in a startup or fast-moving environment
Interest in developing deep domain expertise; prior fraud or fintech experience is helpful but not required
