The role focuses on developing new textiles and prints, collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver creative material solutions for various end uses.

Responsibilities
Kicking off development, seeing everything through, connecting with design partners and suppliers, having technical knowledge to know how material shows up on garment, and moving the material through product testing
Partnering with Design and Product Management to define, create, and deliver textiles palettes with a focus on aesthetics, performance and quality
Providing a pulse on industry direction and bringing new innovations to life
Qualification
Required
Degree required, Bachelor's minimum
Minimum 5+ years' experience in a materials development role
Textile development background (experience creating fabrics used for outerwear, bodywear, etc.)
Trim experience - less important than the textile development background, but still required (developing zippers, elastics, patches, etc.)
Organized, detail-oriented
Experience with the following tools: PCX, Miro, Smartsheets, PPS
Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Science/ Design, or related field
Minimum 5+ years' relevant work experience in material development and/or product development
Team player attitude and strength in building positive working relationships
Expertise in Textile, Trim and Print development
Connection to trend and consumer insights. Ability to be creative and technical
Understanding of design and development process from inception through final adoption
Proactive problem solving and information seeking-skills
Ability to build a strategic plan/roadmap around key projects and execute to completion
Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to move with agility through ambiguity
Exceptional communication skills, including strong presentation skills
Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group
Computer skills, including Microsoft office applications and Product Data Management
Preferred
PMP certification nice to have (or another certification that proves that ETW can manage complex work)
Candidates who have experience in developing performance materials (even swim-related), or have worked with or a similar brand in the past, will be prioritized for shortlisting
Experience communicating and collaborating with global partners
Smartsheet and Tableau a plus
