Responsibilities

Provides administrative support to the medical director and department staff
Management of departmental activity database and patient records
Bereavement program correspondence and activity records
Managing office phone activity and messages
Coordinating multiple meetings and their corresponding minutes and record keeping
Facilitation of community education programs and activities
Maintain the family satisfaction survey results and data entry for departmental quality improvement activities

Required

Proficiency in the Microsoft office software applications
Candidate should be well versed in use of Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point and Access in particular
Ability to support professional reports and presentations using the software
Data input accuracy is required
Ability to interact in a positive manner with a diverse patient and family population
Professional manner when dealing with the public and other professionals
Open approach to work, with ability to ask questions and seek creative solutions to problems and improvement of the work and department function
Critical thinking skills and self-motivation essential
Ability to be proactive when in need of guidance or support
Minimal requirement is HS diploma or GED and three years of prior administrative assistant experience

Preferred

2 or 4 year degree preferred
