Responsibilities

Draft, review, negotiate, and manage logistics customer contracts as well as a broad variety of critical procurement contracts

Support risk management and safety team initiatives

Participate in strategic transactions and help drive the overall growth strategy

Support real estate lease negotiation and management

Provide litigation support, including assisting with discovery responses, case management, communications with and management of outside counsel, coordinating witness interviews, gathering information and overall litigation strategy

Conduct legal research and provide legal advice on key issues affecting the company

Become familiar with laws and regulations affecting the company including Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Motor Carrier (FMCSA), labor and employment, privacy, OSHA, etc. and assist the company with compliance in these areas
