Senior Associate Attorney (Employment Litigation)

They are seeking a Senior Associate with 4+ years of substantive employment litigation experience to take a lead role in their growing practice, serving as lead counsel on a diverse caseload and executing discovery strategies.

Responsibilities
Strategic Case Ownership: Lead a diverse caseload of employment matters from pre-litigation to trial. Act as the primary strategist and advocate for our clients
High-Level Advocacy: Draft and argue complex discovery and dispositive motions. You will craft the legal arguments that secure critical discovery, overcome motions for summary judgment, and drive successful resolutions
First-Chair Experience: Represent clients as lead counsel in federal and state court hearings, arbitrations, and depositions
Leadership & Strategy: Collaborate with the firm’s founder on high-level strategy and provide mentorship to junior staff
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active admission to the New York State Bar, S.D.N.Y., and E.D.N.Y
Minimum of four years of employment litigation experience, including managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, as well as arguing substantive motions
Proficiency with modern legal tech and cloud-based case management is essential to succeed in our remote environment
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Preferred
Experience in at least one jury trial as first or second chair is strongly preferred
