Responsibilities

Responsible for set-up and operating machine tools to create / modify ceramic parts for direct sale to a customer

Set up CNC & industrial machinery and oversee its functioning

Must be able to interpret and use blueprints for specific piece design, as well as calibrate equipment to follow product specifications

Follow strict company and industry safety regulations, as well as a tightly controlled sequence of functions and equipment programming functions

Must be able to communicate effectively with other machinists and supervisors, as well as attend regular training sessions for updates on equipment use

Act as a Cell Lead coordinating day to day activity and provide training to team members on relevant industry processes and equipment operations safety

Must be self-sufficient and work well with minimal supervision and must be able to detect and correct program errors in a timely fashion

Properly and safely load and unload raw materials in CNC machinery, as well as change out tools as required

Must have experience calibrating calipers and micrometers

Ability to use other small tools

Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery

Must be able to report progress to the production supervisor in their department
