Responsibilities

Program complex 5-axis CNC toolpaths for advanced propulsion and defense components (HyperMill preferred)

Prove out first articles, ensuring parts meet strict tolerance, surface finish, and quality requirements

Optimize machining strategies for production efficiency, cycle time, and tool life while maintaining precision

Set up and operate advanced 5-axis CNC machines, including DMG MORI, HELLER, and DN SOLUTIONS

Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve manufacturability and process issues

Maintain exceptionally high standards for accuracy, repeatability, and documentation

Contribute to continuous improvement, process standardization, and best-practice development across the shop

Required

5+ years of experience as a 5-axis CNC programmer/machinist in a high-precision environment (aerospace, defense, marine, automotive performance, or similar)

Strong CAM programming experience (any platform, HyperMill preferred)

Proven ability to machine complex geometries to tight tolerances (±0.0005” or better)

Hands-on experience setting up and running 5-axis CNC machines

Solid understanding of GD&T, fixturing, and multi-axis workholding strategies

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a fast-moving engineering team

Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of ownership over quality and results

U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work on ITAR-controlled projects may be required
