Responsibilities
Own and drive the AI roadmap for Finance and Accounting, in partnership with Finance leadership
Establish structured frameworks for identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing AI opportunities based on ROI, scalability, and risk
Stay ahead of AI and ML advancements, translating them into practical applications for Finance and Accounting
Act as the primary liaison between Finance/Accounting and Engineering, ensuring AI initiatives align with business goals
Champion AI adoption across Finance by influencing stakeholders, shaping narratives, and demonstrating value
Partner with central AI platform teams to leverage infrastructure, tools, and best practices
Manage and mentor a small but growing AI-focused team, fostering a culture of innovation and learning
Guide the design and validation of AI proofs-of-concept (developed by technical contributors), ensuring alignment with Finance needs
Engage with technical details as needed to evaluate approaches and ensure sound design
Oversee the transition of successful POCs into production through close collaboration with Engineering
Track adoption, measure impact, and report outcomes to senior leadership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
Strong knowledge of enterprise finance platforms (e.g., Oracle EPM, SAP, data warehouses) and finance workflows
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional programs and influence senior stakeholders
Preferred
10+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in Finance/Accounting systems, processes, or technology
At least 2+ years of direct experience with AI/ML concepts, including generative AI, LLMs, or related technologies
CPA, CFA, or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or Data Science
Prior experience delivering AI/ML solutions in Finance or Accounting contexts
Familiarity with modern AI tools and techniques (e.g., prompt engineering, RAG, synthetic data)
Excellent communication and storytelling skills to translate technical concepts for Finance leaders
Experience managing and mentoring technical teams
