Responsibilities

Generate, review, and edit s1000d data modules in Siemens Rapid Author
Manage scope and schedule for all contractual milestones related to Tech Manual (TM) Development, for both internal teams and 1099 partners
Monitor overall team progress and provide weekly status reporting to leadership and stakeholders
Manage risk and provide thorough, excellent communication about those risks and all other change
Manage communication with the Gov regarding TM development
Lead, educate and motivate a team of Tech Writers to deliver contract deliverables
Act as the single point of contact for all comms related to the TM project both internally, as well as with the customer

Required

3+ years Managing Technical Manual development, preferably in a fast paced Program of Record, environment
7+ years of demonstrated excellence generating technical documentation, preferably in accordance with Mil-Standards
Experience reading and interpreting engineering documentation
Experience in working with Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) and Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA) to plan and construct S1000D Publications
Experience building DOD-focused content in XML
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Preferred

Experience creating S1000D data modules, ideally MIL-STD-3048 experience
Previous experience creating technical documentation in Aerospace and Defense (for DoD)
Military exposure and experience, particularly with military technical documentation writing and formatting standards, guidelines, and verbiage
Prior military aviation service
Experience Documenting Software Release content in an Agile environment
Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with emphasis on technical subjects
Must thrive with autonomy and responsibility, managing competing priorities and tight deadlines. Impeccable project-management skills
Strong presence and leadership skills
Passion for excellent documentation and user experience
