Domu is building the infrastructure that will replace call centers at the world's largest financial institutions. The role involves building and owning core product features, with a focus on backend systems and voice infrastructure, while working closely with Fortune 500 clients.

Responsibilities

You'll build and own core product features
Backend systems, APIs, voice infrastructure, wherever the product needs you
Code ships daily and goes live for Fortune 500 clients
You'll work on things most engineers never touch: telephony systems, real-time voice processing, integrations with legacy financial infrastructure
95%+ of your time will be coding and building
We're looking for engineers who can own one of these areas: the orchestration layer that coordinates our voice AI systems, infrastructure scaling and low-level performance, security as a generalist building for Fortune 500 financial institutions, or product engineering close to users finding high-leverage wins

Required

Experience in building and owning core product features
Proficiency in backend systems and APIs
Experience with voice infrastructure
Ability to code and build with a focus on real-time voice processing
Experience with telephony systems
Ability to integrate with legacy financial infrastructure
Experience in orchestration layer for voice AI systems
Knowledge of infrastructure scaling and low-level performance
Generalist security knowledge for building for Fortune 500 financial institutions
Experience in product engineering close to users
Ability to work in a small team and take ownership of tasks
Experience in a startup environment
Strong judgment and ability to work independently

Preferred

Experience with real customers and real revenue in a startup
A passion for building quality products, not just functional ones
