Motion Artist Intern

Responsibilities

Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator. Adobe After Effects experience a plus but not necessary
Designing and creating animations for video and message displays using 2D graphics and video editing applications
Designing and creating static artwork for LED and LCD displays using various graphics editing applications
Producing and presenting design and animations from concept to completion for sponsors, sales, and consumer/fan enhancement
Creating artistic content targeted at a variety of display sizes and adhere to the customer branding
Creating concepts of display projects, along with animations and graphic frames for demonstrations and presentations to customers
Working within a creative project management system
Learning to anticipate customer concerns in terms of revisions
Creatively solving problems
Learning Daktronics products and control systems
Building and maintaining professional relationships
Contributing to Daktronics Intern Group: Monthly luncheons, Attend Toastmasters, Recruiting events, Give internship capstone presentation and attend colleagues’ presentations

Required

Full-time students currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's degree program related to visual graphics, motion graphics, graphic design, broadcast engineering, communications, other technical, or communication programs
Completion of Sophomore year in good academic standing
Able to take a semester off from school to complete the internship, if applicable
Must be able to commit to 40 hours per week
Unofficial transcripts or web transcripts must be submitted with application
Good oral and written communication skills
Good organizational skills
Self-motivation
Ability to quickly learn technical product features and functions and communicate to non-technical customers and users
Strong interest in sports and ability to relate to stakeholders of sporting applications
Willingness to learn
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
Fluent in English, both written and verbal
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
Daktronics does not sponsor, renew, or extend immigration visas for this position

Preferred

Experience in Microsoft Office
Adobe After Effects experience a plus but not necessary
