Dewberry is seeking a Structural (Bridge) Senior Project Manager to work in Western PA locations. The successful candidate will manage structural led design projects involving bridges and various transportation-related structures, overseeing all phases of project development and leading a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Oversee the design of simple and complex bridges

Oversee all phases of project development including planning, scheduling, inspection, analysis, design, development of contract plans, cost estimates, and technical specifications and reports

Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and drafters as well as coordinate with clients to complete assignments

Active participation in business development

Assist with the development of proposals

Qualification

PennDOT design standardsBridge design experienceProject management experienceBS in Civil EngineeringPA PE licenseMentoring skillsCommunication skillsOrganizational skillsTeamwork

Required

BS in Civil Engineering (MS in Structural Engineering preferred)

PA PE license

Minimum of 15 years of experience working on bridge transportation projects

Ability to mentor less experienced staff

Sound oral and written communication skills; excellent organizational skills; and a desire to work in a team environment

Driving is a requirement of the position. A clean driving record is required

Preferred

15+ years of experience with PennDOT design standards and current state of practice such as accelerated bridge construction and prefabricated bridge elements

Prior project management experience along with a strong understanding of associated disciplines and construction operations

A desire to grow into a position of Departmental leadership
