Geographic Information Systems Developer
eNGINE is a Solutions and Placement firm focused on building technical teams. They are seeking a GIS Application Developer to design, implement, and maintain geospatial solutions that drive spatial insights and interactive mapping experiences.

Responsibilities
Write & and implement GIS-enabled features for web and mobile applications
Translate business and analytical requirements into functional geospatial tools and services
Integrate GIS data layers and datasets from multiple sources to enhance application capabilities
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of spatial data used across platforms
Develop custom scripts, modules, and extensions to enhance GIS functionality
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to provide intuitive and user-friendly geospatial interfaces
Monitor and improve application efficiency, responsiveness, and scalability for large datasets
Support deployment, version control, and maintenance of GIS software solutions
Coordinate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for automating GIS workflows
Document development processes, methodologies, and software configurations for team use
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 2 years developing GIS applications or related geospatial solutions
Experience with Python, JavaScript (React, Vue.js), or C# in application development
Familiarity with GIS platforms and spatial tools (ArcGIS, QGIS, PostGIS, or similar)
Proficiency in working with geospatial datasets and formats, including GeoJSON, Shapefiles, and Geodatabases
Knowledge of web mapping frameworks and interactive visualization techniques
Experience working with APIs, geospatial services, and cloud-hosted GIS platforms
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex GIS issues
Ability to clearly communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical team members
