Responsibilities

As part of the Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) organization, and deployed in the Test & Verification group, you will act as a lead test and verification engineer for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
You will take part in planning and executing tests to assess the loads, dynamics, performance, capabilities, and compatibility of the various aircraft propulsion systems, actuation systems, High Voltage Interconnect System (HVIS), and aircraft structures in a production-like configuration
As the wind tunnel lead, you will own the end to end execution of any and all test points at the test facility, performing the role of Rig Operator and/or test Director, while supported by multiple cross functional IPTs and SMEs
You will support maturing propulsion systems toward the final aircraft configuration, de-risking critical propulsion hardware and software functionality, validating aerodynamic performance and CFD models, and preparing justification on safety of flight for aircraft flight testing
You will help coordinate propulsion system durability tests, limit loads testing, thermal model validation, tilt angle/blade pitch schedule evaluations, and aerodynamic interaction tests
You will be the primary point of contact for all wind tunnel test activity, coordinating closely with engineering, program management, and external test partners to ensure timely, safe, and technically sound test execution
