Responsibilities

Conduct thorough field inspections of all work, including materials, equipment, and workmanship, confirming compliance with construction documents and federal standards
Maintain detailed inspection logs, daily progress reports, defect and omission records, and coordinate with stakeholders for corrective actions
Review contractor quality control activities, third-party testing reports, and confirm adherence to approved health and safety plans
Collaborate with the customer, contractors, and other stakeholders to schedule inspections, resolve issues, and facilitate project progress. adherence to labor standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols, including OSHA requirements
Participate in pre-final and final walkthroughs, consolidate punch lists, and confirm all documentation is complete for project turnover
Identify potential risks or delays and recommend remedial actions to mitigate impacts on the project schedule and budget

Qualification

Required

HS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
5+ years' proven experience in construction inspection for projects of similar size and complexity, particularly roofing systems
Experience in interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents

Preferred

Proficiency in construction management and inspection software tools
HSPD-12 clearance for federal facility access
Registered Roofing Observer (RRO) certification or equivalent
Experience in interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
Strong focus on accuracy and quality in all aspects of inspection and reporting
Experience in safety practices in the construction industry, including a background of familiarity with OSHA safety requirements on construction projects
Experience of applicable codes and standards
Experience in identifying and resolve construction challenges effectively
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders
