Responsibilities

Apply scientific and environmental knowledge to manage, validate, and analyze large datasets using EQuIS and Microsoft Excel
Use advanced Excel tools such as pivot tables, macros, and formulas to support data-driven environmental projects with precision and consistency
Contribute to the success of environmental projects by supporting data workflows, coordinating with technical teams, and helping ensure that data deliverables meet project timelines, quality standards, and client requirements
Develop scopes of work, budgets, and timelines according to client specifications and needs
Apply deductive reasoning and scientific thinking to identify data discrepancies, assess data quality, and assist in the resolution of technical issues in environmental datasets
Interpret site data within regulatory and environmental frameworks while contributing to accurate, complete, and meaningful data deliverables
Prepare clear and concise data summaries, charts, boring logs, and figures for internal use and project documentation
Provide concise status updates to project managers and stakeholders
Work effectively with various stakeholders to ensure data quality and project success
Show a proactive and professional attitude while learning technical systems and growing within a supportive team environment

Required

bachelor's degree in environmental studies/sciences, geology, chemistry, biology, or a related field
3+ years of professional experience working with databases and advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with charts, macros, pivot tables and other functions
strong computer skills, including experience with EQuIS and Microsoft Suite
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future

Preferred

knowledge and experience with the following applications: Access, Python, R, and/or Power BI
Knowledge of chemistry and/or geology
Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations
