Responsibilities
Design and develop packaging for new and existing products, ensuring functionality, durability, and cost-effectiveness
Conduct material selection and testing to meet performance, sustainability, and regulatory requirements
Create and maintain packaging specifications, drawings, and documentation in CAD systems
Collaborate with suppliers to source packaging materials and components, ensuring quality and timely delivery
Perform packaging validation and testing (drop, vibration, environmental) to ensure compliance with standards
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce packaging costs and improve efficiency
Support manufacturing and assembly processes by providing packaging solutions that optimize workflow and minimize waste
Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulations, and sustainability goals
Troubleshoot packaging-related issues in production and field environments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
3+ years of experience in packaging design and development, preferably in a manufacturing or product development environment
Proficiency in ArtiosCAD
Knowledge of packaging materials (plastics, corrugate, foams) and manufacturing processes
Familiarity with ISTA and other packaging test standards
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred
Experience with sustainable packaging initiatives
Understanding of regulatory requirements for packaging in relevant markets
