Responsibilities
Claims Processing and EPIC Management: Review, submit, and monitor claims while managing patient accounts in EPIC, reconciling charges, and correcting billing errors to ensure clean claims
Denial and Follow-Up Management: Research and appeal denials, resolve outstanding issues, monitor aging reports, and follow up with payers to secure timely reimbursement
Payment Posting and Insurance Verification: Accurately post payments and adjustments while confirming patient eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements
Customer Service and Compliance: Communicate with patients and providers to resolve billing questions while maintaining HIPAA compliance and supporting revenue cycle standards
Reporting and Support: Prepare and update revenue cycle reports and assist with audits and process improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
High school diploma required
2+ years of revenue cycle, medical billing, or accounts receivable experience within a healthcare setting
EPIC experience required, with proficiency in billing software, clearinghouse platforms, and the Microsoft Office Suite
Strong understanding of medical billing, CPT/ICD-10 codes, insurance verification, reimbursement rules, and denial management
Detail-oriented, organized professional with strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a proactive approach to resolving billing issues in a remote environment
