Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of WIC services at the Fairbanks Public Health Center, ensuring high-quality, client-centered care
Provide direct support to participants, including nutrition assessments, education, breastfeeding support, referrals, and supplemental food assistance
Coordinate daily operations within the center to ensure smooth, efficient service delivery
Ensure compliance with all state and federal WIC guidelines and policies
Support outreach efforts to connect families and help them thrive through improved nutrition, care, and the services they need

Required

Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in Public Health: Applies knowledge of the concepts, principles, theories, methods, and tools associated with protecting and improving the health of people and their communities, including, promoting healthy lifestyles, researching disease and/or injury prevention, and/or detecting, preventing, and responding to infectious diseases
Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in Customer Service: Anticipates and meets the needs of both internal and external customers. Delivers high-quality products and services is committed to continuous improvement
Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in Planning and Evaluation: Organizes work, sets priorities, and determines resource requirements; determines short- or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinates with other organizations or parts of the organization to accomplish goals; monitors progress and evaluates outcomes
Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in Analytical Thinking/Problem Solving: uses a logical, systematic, sequential approach to address problems or opportunities or manage a situation by drawing on one's knowledge and experience base and calling on other references and resources as necessary
Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in Compliance: Knowledge of procedures for assessing, evaluating, and monitoring programs or projects for compliance with Federal laws, regulations, and guidance
Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in Decision Making: Makes sound, well-informed, and objective decisions; perceives the impact and implications of decisions; commits to action, even in uncertain situations, to accomplish organizational goals; causes change
Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in Organizational Awareness: Knows the organization's mission and functions, and how its social, political, and technological systems work and operates effectively within them; this includes the programs, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations of the organization
Equivalent to those typically gained by Training from an accredited college or university in any field and/or progressively responsible professional experience developing, planning, coordinating, and implementing a program, project, business, organization, or major components of a program, including having administrative authority over the program/project funding, staff, and/or overall operations
