Responsibilities
Leading Managing and Holding People Accountable (LMA)
Learn and begin to apply growth process ( participates in assigned RC ,, pipeline support, COPs, etc.)
Supervises the engagement (job) project management, billing, ensures QC (technical) standards
Takes care of the client (meets deadlines, timely communication)
Develops engagement team (prepares seniors to the next level)
Prepare corporate returns
Tax provision preparation
Research tax issues
Recognize potential problems within engagements and discuss these with the manager or partner
Prepare tax projections
Prepare tax planning assignments
Prepare other tax consulting projects, as needed
Identify key issues facing clients and discuss possible solutions to increase quality and efficiency
Maintain a command of GAAP, GAAS, and any other common audit/tax techniques
Exhibit strong communications skills (verbal; written; presentation) with lower level associates, management/partners, and clients
Provide timely performance and behavior feedback to lower level associates via verbal discussions and/or evaluations
Communicate with manager regarding work-loads and project status
Assist on other non-tax work in offseason such as financial statement compilations, reviews, and audits
Performs other duties as assigned by Managers, Sr. Managers and Partners
Qualification
Required
3-4 years of tax experience in public accounting is required with an emphasis on corporate returns and tax provisioning
Bachelor's in accounting required
Knowledge and understanding of accounting including bookkeeping and journal entry preparation required
Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, in English
Must be able to keep client matters strictly confidential
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills
Preferred
Masters in Tax preferred
CPA License preferred
Knowledge of CCH Access Prosystems is a plus
