Principal Project Controls Specialist

Responsibilities

Possess a thorough understanding of advanced project management, planning, scheduling, cost, and risk methods and techniques including associated performance tools
Partner with the Program Director / Manager / Managers/ Business Development leaders to set strategy and to capture growth opportunities that advance strategic and business objectives
Research and analyze/assess complex, integrated project schedules and implementation steps and processes related to the planning function
Assess sophisticated critical path utilizing software tools (P6 & MS Project) to integrate and display special program activities which establish optimum conditions and effective utilization of resources and facilities, including equipment, manpower, funding and materials
Lead and coordinate efforts of other planners and participate in the performance feedback process
Assess work environment and advise management of resource needs
Identify good and adverse trends with cost and risk data
Develop integrated schedule, cost, and risk plans with the appropriate level of details to minimize data manipulation for report presentation
Lead studies and analyses of overall planning operations within the business segment to improve efficiency and cost and to identify and implement best practices and process improvements

Required

Bachelor's degree in Project Management Engineering, Business, Accounting, Construction Management or related technical Discipline
6+ years experience in project controls
Cost accounting, budget forecasting and critical path scheduling experience
Familiarity with nuclear power plant systems, plant operations, engineering and manufacturing processes
Experience with Primavera 6 or equivalent program
