The Research Technician I will perform standard and investigative laboratory work in support of scientific research, including conducting bench-level experiments and operating analytical instruments.

Responsibilities
Perform experiments at the bench level to support investigative work
Prepare and maintain laboratory reagents, stocks, cultures or cell lines
Perform and modify documented protocols and assays
Maintain laboratory records and compile data on experiments and assays
Interpret and report on experimental results
Perform statistical analysis of test results and prepare written reports on work performed
Operate and carry out basic maintenance of laboratory equipment
Order and maintain appropriate levels of supplies
May supervise work-study students
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in related scientific field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated scientific knowledge in the area of study
Demonstrated basic laboratory skills
Preferred
Independent research experience separate from school lab experience
Experience with cloning and molecular biology
Experience with recombinant protein production and purification from human cell lines
Experience with tissue culture of human cell lines at BSL-2 level
Experience with lentivirus production and purification
