Century Fire Protection is one of the largest and most successful full-service fire protection companies based in the Southeast. They are seeking a Fire Alarm Installer responsible for the installation, programming, and testing of fire alarm systems per project design drawings.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret fire alarm and electrical drawings and specifications
Review drawings and verify parts for job are accurate
Install and program fire alarm control panels and other equipment
Mount devices, install conduit (if applicable) and wiring to connect system components per design drawings and applicable building codes and standards
Perform all tasks associated with fire alarm installation, such as drilling holes for cabling and accessing locations such as crawlspaces or attics to ensure optimal wiring layouts
Identify and repair any troubles and test all devices and components to ensure proper operation
Perform final acceptance testing with the AHJ
Produce reports and other documentation to certify the installation of the system

Required

High School Diploma or GED
1-3 years related experience and/or training
Ability to read and interpret fire alarm and electrical drawings and specifications
Ability to review drawings and verify parts for job are accurate
Ability to install and program fire alarm control panels and other equipment
Ability to mount devices, install conduit (if applicable) and wiring to connect system components per design drawings and applicable building codes and standards

Preferred

Fire alarm, EST Certified and/or low voltage installation experience
