Perry's Ice Cream is a company that has been bringing people together for over 100 years, and they are seeking a Packaging Center Operator. In this role, you will oversee the flow of finished products through packaging equipment and maintain sanitation standards in accordance with company guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities

Oversee the proper flow of finished product entering & existing the packaging equipment to include case packing, shrink wrappers, and other peripheral packaging processes

Be responsible for maintaining the packaging center Sanitation in accordance with all Company guidelines and state/federal regulations

Support the production of safe, high quality products and team member safety

Must have basic Mechanical skills

Must be willing to learn & become well versed in the operation of shrink wrappers, case packers & other peripheral support packaging equipment

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task

Must possess basic Math Skills

Must have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions and then effectively communicate with all levels of co-workers

Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Capable of standing for extended periods of time

Must be able to be proficient at recordkeeping and doing so in a timely manner

Must possess the ability to clean/maintain the packaging center in a sanitary manner as per Company policies/programs

Willing to learn and adhere to Department specific SQF & GMP requirements
