Responsibilities

Collaborate with department heads and hiring managers to assess workforce needs, forecast hiring demands and build targeted talent pipelines

Build and maintain a scalable recruiting strategy. Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts and offer negotiations

Create and post compelling, accurate technical job descriptions aligned with team needs

Source and screen candidates for a wide variety of roles across software, engineering, operations, aviation and manufacturing functions

Conduct structured interviews and coordinate technical assessments

Follow up with passive candidates and nurture long-term pipelines for hard-to-fill roles

Provide regular updates on recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, pipeline health, and hiring trends

Represent Joby at industry events, tech conferences, and career meetups

Required

BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar field OR a high school diploma/GED and 10 years of relevant work experience or some combination thereof

Minimum of 7 years of recruiting experience

Proven ability to understand and communicate complex technical job requirements

Experience with applicant tracking systems

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Highly organized and adaptable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Strong sense of urgency and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Ability to be in person in Santa Cruz, Marina or San Carlos, CA 2-3 days per week
