Physician Family or Internal Medicine
Marin Community Clinics is a multi-clinic network providing integrated primary care and other health services to nearly 40,000 individuals annually. The Physician (Family or Internal Medicine) is responsible for delivering medical diagnosis, treatment services, and managing quality healthcare for patients, acting as a primary care provider with a patient panel.

Responsibilities
Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnosis, and treatment for a specified patient population
Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions
Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate
Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives
Maintains a professional relationship with staff and patients
Performs other related and/or necessary tasks to achieve clinic goals and objectives, as directed by the Medical Director
Care team responsibilities as outlined in the Care Team Patient Center Medical Home Procedures
In addition to regularly scheduled shifts, is able to work a minimum of three (3) 4-hour Saturday shifts per calendar year, providing medical care to patients within the standard scope of practice. Requirement begins after 90-day training period
In addition to regularly schedule shifts, is available to respond to after-hour calls regarding critical lab results for adult patients throughout the organization for a minimum of 2 weeks per year, this includes pager responsibilities. Requirement begins after 90-day training period and compensation for coverage to be outlined in offer

Qualification
Required
Valid and unrestricted license issued by the Medical Board of California to practice medicine
Board certified or Board Eligible in specified area of medical specialty
Current registration issued by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) allowing the prescription of drugs
Prior work experience in outpatient health care setting - Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is desired
Must maintain Continued Medical Education (CME) as required for certification renewals
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to see an average of 18-24 patients per day depending on FTE schedule
Must be CPR Certified
Ability to observe, to assess, and to record symptoms, reactions, and progress
Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage
Knowledge of community medical diagnostic and patient care services in area of medical expertise
Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
Knowledge of current principles, methods, and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in area of expertise
Ability to supervise, lead, provide advice, and train clinical professionals, PA's/FNP's and/or students in area of expertise
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Prolonged standing, walking, and prolonged periods sitting at desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at times and move medical equipment
Fine motor hand movements typical of performing standard job duties
Able to read charts graphs and readings on medical equipment
All employees are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, including 'health-care' required boosters as a condition of employment, subject to limited exemptions
Preferred
Primary care doctor with experience preferred but new residency grads also welcome
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
EPIC Electronic Health Records (EHR) experiences a plus
