Responsibilities

Manage and mentor a team of engineers and designers in the development of waterfront structure projects
Oversee all project phases including preliminary site visits, conceptual planning, zoning and permitting coordination, design development, and final construction documents
Develop and approve project scopes, budgets, and schedules, ensuring delivery within established goals
Prepare proposals for professional services and funding opportunities; review and approve project documents for quality assurance and compliance
Serve as the primary client point of contact, maintaining strong relationships, ensuring satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for future work
Collaborate with the Practice Leader to strengthen existing client relationships and pursue new business opportunities
Monitor and achieve project financial goals, consistently ensuring profitability and efficiency
Supervise and provide technical guidance to staff, serving as an advisor on engineering challenges and innovative solutions
Lead the preparation of project reports, submittals, and technical documentation
Conduct site visits to gather existing conditions, provide construction support, and perform inspections
Work with the Project Assistant on project setup, billing, invoicing, and closeout
Train, mentor, and support the professional development of junior engineers and staff

Required

Bachelor's Degree in related field (AEC Industry) and minimum of 4 years of related professional experience, or 8 years of equivalent professional experience
Participation in continuing education and professional development programs
Proven experience in project management roles, with a track record of successful project delivery
Demonstrated leadership abilities to inspire and motivate project teams
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders
Deep technical knowledge in the specific field of the project
Expertise in project management software and tools, with the ability to develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and documentation
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to project management, quality assurance, and safety protocols
Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment
Strong negotiation skills to manage multiple contracts, scope changes, and stakeholder agreements effectively
Strong comprehension of accounting principles to effectively manage project budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation
PE is required for this position
Ability to complete the KCI PM Training and Contract Risk Training along with passing the PM Board within 6 months of start date
Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position
