They are seeking a senior-level AWS engineer with a strong background in architecting and engineering custom solutions within AWS, particularly for projects requiring federal security compliance.

Responsibilities

Deep hands-on experience designing and implementing custom AWS cloud solutions (not just standard deployments)

Demonstrated expertise with NIST compliance and FedRAMP authorization for web-based/cloud applications—experience supporting FISMA and NIST 800 series controls is essential

Proven ability to operate at a senior, independent contributor level—must be able to create solutions from scratch, address unique technical challenges, and navigate strict regulatory frameworks

Strong problem-solving skills for working within complex government-imposed security/compliance constraints

Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills—must work closely with diverse teams and explain compliance impacts

Ability and enthusiasm to support application growth (e.g., scaling current applications, standing up new AWS environments for new clients)
