Responsibilities
Develop initial garment specifications and construction methods for new styles
Create and maintain measurement specs and graded specs for Missy and Kids (experience in Intimates a plus)
Attend and lead fit sessions to evaluate prototypes for measurement, silhouette, proportion, and construction accuracy
Communicate fit intent, revisions, and construction details clearly to cross-functional teams and overseas vendors
Troubleshoot production issues, resolve technical challenges, and escalate as needed
Collaborate with Design and Production to align product development with brand standards and timelines
Maintain organized technical packages, ensuring accurate updates from initial development through final production
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Associate degree in Technical Design, Patternmaking, or related field
5+ years of technical design experience in the apparel industry (Missy and Kids required)
Strong knowledge of garment construction, spec grading, and manufacturing processes
Hands-on knowledge of sewing machines, fabrics, and components
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace (Excel expertise required); Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate across teams and with overseas factories
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive problem solver
