Responsibilities
Provides computer-aided design solutions to technical and design problems
Utilizes computer-aided design software to create detailed designs and technical drawings
Collaborates with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop design solutions
Performs design calculations and analysis to ensure compliance with technical specifications and industry standards
Generates prototypes and models to validate design concepts and functionality
Conducts design reviews and provides feedback to optimize designs for performance and cost-effectiveness
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio
Ability to interpret engineering red-lines and communication schematics
Strict adherence to standardized drawing numbering and naming conventions
Maintains accurate documentation and records of design changes, revisions, and updates
May coach and provide guidance to less experienced professionals
Revise existing CAD and Visio drawings for communication systems across customer facilities
Drafting: Convert sketches and markups into professional Visio/CAD formats
New System Integration: Capture design changes driven by new system modifications into master system drawings
Documentation: Apply customer-specific numbering, revision dates, and gather engineer/lead approval signatures
Ensure 100% accuracy when translating documents and red-lines to digital files
Participates in special projects as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science
5+ years of related experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio
