Senior Systems Engineer - Flight Research
Joby Aviation is working towards making piloted air taxis a reality, and they are seeking a passionate Senior Systems Engineer to join their flight research team. The role involves owning the architecture, integration, and life-cycle success of avionics systems, leading development and certification, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations.

Responsibilities
Lead the development and certification of Avionics and lighting systems and sub-systems
Ensure successful design validation and verification
Work with FAA Engineers and Joby DERs to ensure compliance with federal airworthiness regulations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related technical discipline
8+ years of aerospace or related industry work experience
Solid understanding of aircraft systems, system development, and industry-specific certification processes
Positive attitude towards the project
Strong work ethic
Ability to self-manage and learn new skills
Forward thinking and the ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment
This position must meet US export control compliance requirements, therefore a candidate must qualify as a 'US Person' as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15. 'US Person' includes US Citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees
