Student Pharmacy Intern, Specialty Pharmacy, Outpatient - Registry

Responsibilities

Handling a variety of specialty pharmacy duties that increase in responsibility as you gain more experience, including inbound calls and outbound refill calls, prior authorizations and counseling patients
Provide exemplary customer service to outpatients across UCMC
Interacting with members of the interdisciplinary team – physicians, nurses, case management, and social work to coordinate and collaborate on efficient and effective medication therapy management
Performs other duties as requested by management

Qualification

Illinois Pharmacy Technician LicensePharmacy experienceInterdisciplinary collaborationCustomer serviceCommunication skills

Required

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Current Illinois Pharmacy Technician License
Student currently enrolled in an accredited college of pharmacy

Preferred

Preferred one year of pharmacy experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting
