Product Manager, Member Lifecycle
Planet Fitness is one of the largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers in the United States. The Product Manager will focus on enhancing the member lifecycle through digital experiences, managing product development from strategy to launch, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive member engagement and retention.

Responsibilities
Manage the strategy and development of Lifecycle Workstream product development within the product roadmap
Manage the product development process from end to end: opportunity identification, feature prioritization, requirements gathering, design, development and launch of new features
For each project, perform upfront discovery and research, provide clear product requirements, participate in ongoing project routines (standups, sprint planning, refinements, retros with the working development team), sign-offs, lead business reviews to confirm launch readiness
Develop a deep understanding of our customers, their needs, their journeys, and their pain points. Manage research and testing, e.g. surveys, concept testing, clickstream data, and A/B testing. Transform insights into opportunity hypotheses and product requirements
Be a champion of the MVP philosophy, distilling the product down to what is desirable, viable and feasible
Work with cross-functional stakeholders to surface feedback and opportunities for new projects and features and prioritize these requests in accordance with level of effort and business value. Evaluate opportunities and develop business cases
Collaborate with Strategy and analytics teams to decide on KPIs for new features. Forecast, measure, and monitor business metrics and KPIs. Track impact on acquisition, engagement, and retention
Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and nearly all parts of the company to ensure our digital products are launched successfully
Create efficiencies and speed to market in the product development process, working closely with other product managers, tech leads, UX designers, and other key members of their POD teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, business management, or a related field, required
At least 2-3 years of experience in product management, and 5+ years of total work experience. Other product development or product marketing experience also valuable, particularly with demonstrated product ownership
Demonstrated passion for building products and services that customers will love
Working knowledge of agile development methodologies and how highly scaled digital/mobile products come together
Entrepreneurial spirit; must have demonstrated the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, creative problem-solving and initiative. Experience in an “Intra-preneurial” role a plus: taking products from inception to launch within a larger organization
Strong initiative, bias for action, and reflexive sense of ownership. Highly self‐motivated and independent
Excellent collaboration skills and stakeholder management including managing up to executive leadership. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence without formal authority. Ability to work well with agency partners, cross functional partners and internal and external stakeholders
Familiarity with agile project management tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma
Excellent organization and time management, and comfort managing aggressive deadlines
Strong technical intuition. Technical background a plus. Familiarity with web and app development tech stack
Extremely detail-oriented, efficient, and organized with an exceptional ability to establish priorities and objectives, including managing aggressive deadlines
Excellent presentation and verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to persuasively communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
Able to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships with diverse individuals, including internal and external stakeholders, agency partners, and cross-functional partners
Creative, progressive, thought leadership with the ability to influence without formal authority at all levels of the organization
Dedicated learner with a natural curiosity for consistent growth
Exhibits comfort, ease, and flexibility working in an extremely fast-paced ever-changing, deadline-driven environment
