The Network Engineer IV will serve as the lead engineer for network operations, ensuring optimal performance, security implementation, and troubleshooting for a stable and high-performing network.

Responsibilities

Serve as lead Network Engineer for wired and wireless network operations

Monitor network performance and conduct optimization testing

Implement and maintain network security controls across the infrastructure

Configure, operate, and maintain network routers, switches, wireless access points, and firewalls

Manage VPN, network access control systems, and RADIUS servers

Ensure Academic Network maintains 99.99% availability each month

Identify opportunities for improving network efficiencies with emerging technologies

May be required to travel (CONUS/OCONUS)

Qualification

Network infrastructure experienceCCNACCNP CertificationNetwork security controlsProject Leadership experienceTeam ManagementSecret level security clearance

Required

BA/BS from accredited college/university with minimum 5 years experience OR AA/AS with minimum 7 years experience OR 9 years relevant experience working with network infrastructure products and solutions

Requires one of the following certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP

CCNA or CCNP Certification or equivalent

Background in Team Management

Project Leadership experience

Network infrastructure experience
