They are seeking a Private Funds Paralegal who will provide comprehensive support to the firm's global private funds team, handling a variety of tasks and gaining in-depth exposure to corporate law and the private equity industry.
Law Practice
Responsibilities
Assisting attorneys in all stages of private funds, from fund formation and the closing process to private fund portfolio investments and transactions
Assisting attorneys and private funds clients with compliance and investment activities
Coordinating with attorneys in a variety of legal practice groups and global offices
Communicating directly with private funds clients, their investors, and related outside counsel
Preparing documentation for formation of corporate entities and coordinating regulatory filings with corporate service providers
Creating and maintaining process documentation for leading global private funds clients and the practice group
Researching topics such as market trends, legal precedents, and other matters relating to private funds
Developing and maintaining content for internal electronic resources, including knowledge management and business development databases
Contributing to practice development initiatives and business development efforts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required (minimum GPA of 3.3)
Willing to make a two-year commitment
Excellent time management, organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Capacity to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Professional and enthusiastic demeanor
Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office programs, and the capability to quickly learn new technology platforms, including AI-enabled tools
Flexibility to work outside regular business hours, including early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed
