Responsibilities

Technical guidance and quality oversight, including code review, of all project work involving electrical engineering

Technical training and development of staff

Assist in establishing and improving standards, practices, guidelines, and specifications for electrical discipline area

Engineer of Record

Provide 'on-the-spot' advice and decisions - technical and cost estimates

Coordination with all the disciplines involved, including outside consultants

Technical interface with code officials and contractors

Required

Accomplished professional electrical engineer (PE). Existing licensure in NC is preferred

Minimum 10 years of progressive technical experience in the design of normal and essential power distribution, lighting, life safety, and telecommunications systems on large and small, complex, healthcare projects

Experience should include technical oversight of multiple projects with proven success providing technical oversight on projects that meet contract specifications and technical standards to the client on time and within budget

Self-motivated with highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills

Well organized, takes good notes
