Business Professional Development Program Student Ambassador
The Center for Public Partnerships & Research is seeking students for the Business Professional Development Program Ambassador role. Ambassadors will promote career resources to fellow students, attend professional training, and collaborate on projects while representing the program throughout the academic year.

Responsibilities
Promote Business Professional Development Program & career resources to fellow students through class flybys, tabling, club presentations, webinar attendance, modeling professionalism, helping with event logistics, student panels etc
Provide relevant announcements in classes and/or student clubs
Provide student perspective on which employers or jobs fields are of interest to campus
Attend training on professional topics like interviewing, job and internship searches, professional negotiation, etc
Collaborate on special projects relevant to student interests and faculty/program needs including data projects, curriculum edits, feedback and review of tools or materials, etc
Represent the student perspective at staff and faculty meetings
Assist in the selection process for full-time hiring needs
Qualification
Required
A KU student pursuing a major or minor in the School of Business
Ability to commit for one academic year to the position
Able to attend and complete at least 1 training session per semester (1.5-2.5 hours of commitment) + Must be available for the SPRING 2026 training on APRIL 3rd from 10 AM – 2 PM
Able to accept and attend at least five projects/events in the above participation opportunities (varied time commitments and platforms)
During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours
For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester
Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students
Student employees are not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by the unit leadership and HR
This is an hourly/non-exempt position. A student employee cannot hold an hourly/non-exempt position and a salaried/exempt graduate or undergraduate position (GRA/GTA/GA/RUA/RGA) concurrently
Preferred
Seeking at least one undergraduate representative from each of the academic majors
Seeking representation from a member of MBSP
Seeking representation from a transfer student
Strong desire to cultivate professionalism in oneself and the B-School community
