Responsibilities

Setup, operation, and maintenance of production equipment including but not limited to: Roto-Reg Editor/Slitter, Roto flex Operator, Serializer, TC (Transaction Card) Editor & Inspector, Die cutter
Maintaining production schedule and communicating any changes in planned work
Proper handling of materials throughout the production process
Minimizing waste and adhering to safety procedures
Follow all quality and security protocol including inspection of product, splicing techniques, winding criteria, where applicable, along with proper identification, labeling and disposition of finished product and overrun product
Properly complete necessary paperwork during each job and at the end of each job to ensure proper recording of time and materials including final product count, overrun estimate and packaging used
Enter production data into MRP system and/or other databases
Determine desired final product requirements by reviewing job specifications. This includes product appearance and performance
Determine and verify accuracy of materials and supplies used to complete all jobs to spec, including print plates, print cylinders, inks, coatings and dies
Examine product for defects such as spots, streaks, scratches, wrinkles, voids, and general degradation of product quality as compared to target quality and correct, as necessary
Work from blueprints, production orders, process and data control sheets, specifications, drawings, manuals, standard practices, and procedures as well as other written and oral instructions
When time permits, inspect all material furnished for all jobs to finished product stage Identify overrun or leftover product with Job number, Lot number, and quantity remaining then place in proper finished product storage locations
Participate in training as required to maintain and improve the range of skills and knowledge required to meet the ongoing business needs
Assume other tasks and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Production Supervisor or Team Leader
Guidelines for building security must be followed including proper handling of security products and disposition of waste

Required

High School diploma or GED
1-2 years of experience working with mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing machines
