Electrical Engineer – Entry Level – 2+ Years (Hybrid)

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with academic coursework focused on power or control systems
2 years of relevant experience
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Excel, and Word
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with team members in a high-energy working environment that encourages self-initiative
A flexible working style and a willingness to modify personal schedule as required to meet deadlines and client needs
Possession of valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship from Barr, now or in the future
Preferred
Experience working in a design capacity on projects directly related to job responsibilities described above at a consulting engineering or industrial organization
3+ years of relevant experience
Knowledge and experience with industrial manufacturing processes such as power plants, petroleum refining, mining and/or minerals processing, chemical production, or municipal facilities
Power distribution design and maintenance experience
Experience with Allen Bradley and Schneider Electric PLC configuration and programming
Experience with protective device coordination, short-circuit studies, and arc flash analyses using SKM and ETAP software
Experience with motor control, lighting, grounding, conduit plans, sizing of power cable, and electrical equipment
Proven project or task management skills
Working knowledge of codes, standards, laws, and regulations applicable to the project assignments described above
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certified or ability to obtain within one year
