Responsibilities

Spearhead the entire electrical design process, including testing, qualification, and integration for our spacecraft
Drive avionics development from initial concept through to flight-ready systems and integration
Manage the design and interfacing of avionics, encompassing requirements capture, component selection, analysis, and system-level trade-offs
Prototype and validate flight computers, power systems, communications, and electronic systems
Ensure system reliability through root cause and corrective action investigation, debugging, and documentation
Conduct hardware-in-the-loop testing and develop testbeds for system validation
Lead efforts to comply with relevant government and safety standards

Qualification

Required

BS in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience in developing space electronics and avionic systems
Proven track record in architecting and qualifying avionics systems for spaceflight
Familiarity with government and MIL-spec standards
Hands-on experience in circuit design and using electronics test equipment
Experience with Altium Designer or similar tools
Proficient in troubleshooting electronics at both the board and system levels
Background in a fast-paced startup environment or equivalent experience
Strong engineering foundation with a first-principles approach to problem-solving

Preferred

Experience with Altium Designer or similar software is a plus
Familiarity with relevant government and MIL-spec standards
