Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
Minimum of 1 year of experience in software development
Strong understanding of programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python
Experience with software development tools and methodologies, including version control systems
Familiarity with software testing and debugging techniques
Preferred
Ability to code in C++ and other languages
Experience in C/C++ embedded engineering and design in Aerospace Engineering
Software architecture experience and common core software approach
Knowledge of Terrain Avoidance and Warning System (TAWS) or Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS)
DO-178C familiarity
Familiarity with STC and TSO certification documents
Ability to describe complex technical concepts to engineering team members as well as to business and engineering stakeholders
Organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to motivate and lead a team – local and distributed – through your example
Understanding various software development lifecycle
Demonstrate the ability to develop efficient and high-quality software
Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices
Effective communicator
Can quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts
Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness
