Responsibilities

Be able to understand and clearly communicate course content to the students
Demonstrate the ability to motivate and provide strategy skills for studying
Act professionally at all times and serve as a positive role model
Have the willingness to comply with UAA, NCAA and UF rules
Attend mandatory trainings
Maintain thorough knowledge of what constitutes a violation of the rules
Report concerns about students to the Tutorial Coordinator and/or Academic Counselor
Be flexible and have time to meet with students
Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues and students

Required

18 years of age
High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree)
Be enrolled as an undergraduate, graduate, PhD and/or working professional in his/her field
Received a B+ or higher in the class(es) that the applicant intends to tutor
Have a GPA of 3.2 or higher
Knowledgeable and proficient in subject area(s)
Good time management skills with attention to detail when completing paperwork
Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
